SAPOL

Police are asking businesses in the State’s south east to be wary of a con man active in the area.

The suspect allegedly stole a car today after taking it on a test drive from a dealership and not returning. The vehicle is a silver 2010 Ford Territory station wagon, and was bearing registration S140AJE. When it was stolen, it was also fitted with trade plate 6587T.

The same man is wanted for questioning over failing to pay for meals and accommodation in Millicent.

The man is of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid 40s, about 170 cm tall, weighs about 100 kg, with a heavy build, shaved head and blue eyes. When last seen he was wearing a white t-shirt and a black baseball cap.

Anyone who spots the stolen car or who has any information about this man is asked to contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
