SACA Media Release 12th February 2014

Teams from Hope Valley Cricket Club (CC), Rose and Crown CC, Freeling CC and Millicent Footballers CC will fight it out in the Country Living Homes Twenty20 Champions Cup finals on Sunday 16 February at Adelaide Oval.

Hope Valley and Rose and Crown will play-off in the metropolitan grand final while Freeling and Millicent Footballers will face off in the country final. All four clubs are in the running to receive prize-money for their regional finals, generously provided by Country Living Homes, with the two winning teams then playing off in the Country Living Homes State-wide Twenty20 Championship grand final.

The day will also recognise and reward hard working volunteers in the community with the presentation of SACA 25 year service medals. There will also be five volunteers recognised by Cricket Australia with 50 year service awards.

“This is a great opportunity to thank some of SA cricket’s hard working volunteers,” said SACA Cricket Operations Manager Shane Bernhardt.

“Volunteers are the lifeblood of our sport and without them cricket clubs and associations would not survive.”
