Pre-Season Cup Preview

The Mid South East Netball Season approaches closer this weekend with the Pre-Season Cup to be held at Tantanoola on Sunday 19th March. The netball matches for the day will begin on both courts at 10 am with clubs taking the opportunity to try different combinations and make some valuable decisions about teams and playing combinations for the season ahead.

Most of the players playing on the day will be vying for A grade positions within their own clubs, so the day is an opportunity to see some of the Associations finest players in action. With most teams reporting only minor changes to their senior line ups for the year, but also some critical new additions to most clubs, the competition will be hotly contested.

The format of the day will see matches shortened, with each club playing four matches consisting of two 13 minute halves each. These round robin matches will be followed by two preliminary finals and a Grand Final to decide who the overall winners for the day will be. The Pre-Season Cup awards for 2014 are again proudly donated by The Jolly Swagman.
