Three drivers in the south east penalised

Yesterday a 17-year-old Millicent boy was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle, after allegedly doing burnouts near Holzgrefe Street on April 9. His car was wheel-clamped for 28 days, and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

At about 8.35pm on Saturday, police pulled over a Toorak Gardens man in George Street at Robe, for the purpose of a random driver test. The 70-year-old man recorded a breath test reading of 0.074, and was issued an expiation notice for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol.

At about 12.30am yesterday, a 23-year-old man from Dulwich was stopped on Victoria Street in Robe, for the purpose of a breath test. He returned a reading of 0.099, and was issued a six-month instant loss of licence notice, and had his car impounded for 28 days. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

With the Easter weekend approaching, police will be out on the roads making sure that drivers adhere to the road rules
