Drug drivers stopped and barred near Millicent

Three drivers tested positve for drug driving offences over the weekend. At 2.10 pm on Friday the 20 June Police stopped a 19-year-old Millicent woman for a random driver screening test on North Terrace, Millicent.
It is alleged that she recorded a positive result to methamphetamine and she was issued with a driver direction notice not to drive for 24 hours.
At 11.20 am on Saturday 21 June Police stopped a 21-year-old Millicent man for a random driver screening test on Thomas Drive, Mount Burr.
It is alleged that he recorded a positive result to both methamphetamine and cannabis and he was issued with a driver direction notice not to drive for 24 hours.
At 11.35 am on Sunday 22 June Police stopped a 19-year-old Millicent man for a random driver screening test on Scanlon Street, Millicent.
It is alleged that he recorded a positive result to cannabis and he was issued with a driver direction notice not to drive for 5 hours and an expiation notice for driving an unregistered car.
In all three cases the samples will be forwarded to Forensic Science Centre for analysis and when the results are confirmed the drivers will be reported for drug driving.

Business break-in at Penola
Police are investigating a business break-in at Penola where jewellery, cash and other items were stolen.
Sometime between Tuesday 17 June and Wednesday 18 June, a business on Church street had the front glass door smashed and antique watches, pocket knives and cash stolen.
