The Millicent Floral Art and Garden Club enjoyed the more suitable facilities and extra space when they met at the Presbyterian Church Hall for the first time on July 1st 2014.
Instructor, Anne Ashby, conducted a cornucopia workshop. Members moulded the horn shaped based then began to cover it with paper, calico or hessian. The finished article will be brought to the September meeting complete with an arrangement of fruit as the cornucopia is known as a symbol of hope for a bountiful harvest.
New members of all ages and abilities are always welcome and are asked to bring a pen, notebook, camera, lunch and drink. The first two lessons are free.
The Club meets at 10-00 am and finishes no later than 3 pm.
Instructor is Anne Ashby, a qualified floral art judge, who has won many prizes for her exhibits locally and ay major floral art competitions in South Australia and Victoria.
