Police and Sammy D urge ‘look after your mates’ – SAPOL
Drink coasters urging the community to take care of their mates are being distributed in licensed venues across the state as part of a community-focused education campaign aimed at reducing alcohol-related violence.
The coasters are part of the ‘Great Night Out’ campaign which is a joint project involving the SA Police and Sammy D Foundation.
The campaign, which is influenced by young people who want to have a good time free from violence and anti-social behaviour, features a website, education campaign, social media messaging, video blogs, radio advertising, and printed material.
It also highlights the SA Police commitment to reduce alcohol fuelled violence.
The Great Night Out drink coasters promote the message:
‘One mate can make a difference, look after your mates, see you again next weekend.’
The drink coasters will be used within hotels and gaming venues, licensed sport clubs and restaurants between Friday 22 August and Thursday 4 September 2014.
