Millicent Business Community Association Award Nominees

The Annual Millicent Business Community Association’s Outstanding Business Awards will be held this Friday 31st October at the Somerset Hotel beginning at 7-00 pm. Members of the community have been asked to nominate businesses and individuals who have shown exceptional service or an outstanding action over the past year; or continual actions for many years that deserve recognition. Nominators were asked to write 25 words or more when nominating.

The Awards are divided into six categories, Agriculture and Horticulture, Manufacture and Construction, Service Industry, Retail industry and the Employee and Young Employee of the year which is sponsored by the Millicent Rotary.

The Awards are jointly sponsored by the SE Times, 5THE FM and the MBCA and were judged by an independent panel of judges.

The nominees are:-

Outstanding Business  Agric/Hort – McCourts Garden Centre

Outstanding Business Manufacture/Construction – Graham and Julie Reilly Builders, Chris Murray Tiling, Ant’s Redgum Gallery

Outstanding Business Service Industry – Kutz on Kentish, Millicent Community Club, 5THE FM, New Heaven Indian Restaurant, Brad Tilley Taxation, South West Freight,  Ignition Fitness, Courtyard Espresso and Kitchen, SE Times, Salt & Pepper Seafood,  Pierina’s Hair and Body Concept, Ackies Deli
 
Outstanding Business  Retail Industry  –  Millicent Toy Kingdom, Instore Millicent, Andy’s Bakery, Absolutely Anything, Sassi, Alternate Life, Fosters Foodland, Millicent Chemist,

Winners will be announced on Friday 31st October at the Awards Dinner.

The Mayor will also announce the business he has chosen as an Outstanding Millicent Business and who has been serving the community for over 25 years.
