Millicent Rotary Club skype award recipient

Rotarian Rosie Pounsett interviewed Nikki-Lee

Millicent Rotary Club enjoyed the benefits of technology on Thursday 5th March with a skype meeting with Nikki Lee Lucas, Rotary’s recipient of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award, which is a program for young people to develop their leadership skills to their full potential.

President Chris Skeer said, in seeing how easy and effective it was to do,  Rotary is looking forward to utilizing skype for guest speakers in the future.

The RYLA seminar, which Nikki-Lee will atten, will be held over 6 days by a professional team of leaders who have a passion for working with young people and seeing them develop to their full potential.

Nikki- Lee’s university commitments took her to Adelaide before the meeting so Rotary embraced the opportunity to speak to her using skype, set up by Rotarian John Chalmers.

Members had the opportunity to ask Nikki Lee questions and find out more about her expectations of RYLA.

Rotary are planning another meeting with Nikki-Lee in person on her return from the seminar later this year.
