A combined effort by police from Millicent, Penola and Beach Port has resulted in suspected stolen property being found.

Police attended an address in Millicent overnight and searched the residence there.

As a result of the search police found a quantity of property suspected to have been recently stolen.

In addition, a quantity of suspected illicit drugs was also found.

All items have been seized by police who expect to charge persons this week.

Police ask that anyone with information relating to recent thefts of property from motor vehicles, sheds and houses in the Millicent district please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police arrested and charged a Millicent man with receiving stolen property and possessing cannabis.

Police arrested and charged a Millicent man with receiving stolen property and possessing cannabis.

Yesterday, Sunday March 22, police from Millicent, Penola and Beachport searched a premises in Millicent and located property they believed to be stole, and a quantity of cannabis.

Following inquiries, Millicent police today have arrested a 28-year-old Millicent man in relation to the property and cannabis found during that search.

Police will allege that the property, which included a guitar, amplifier, battery charger and an outboard motor, was stolen on March 18 from a shed on Agricultural Bureau Drive in Millicent.

Police will also allege that the man was in possession of 200 grams of cannabis.

The man was charged and bailed to appear in the Millicent Magistrates Court on May 20.
