DNA leads to arrest

Mount Gambier Police, investigating an incident which occurred at Millicent in February, have arrested a 21-year-old Mount Gambier man after a DNA match.

Police will allege that on Saturday 7 February 2015 the man entered on to property on Hakea Drive and stole cash, credit cards and cigarettes from cars at the property.

Crime Scene Investigators attended the residence and obtained evidence which subsequently was tested and through DNA matching led to the arrest of the man.

He was charged with serious criminal trespass and theft and was bailed to appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court on 2 June.
