During February, Wattle Range Council sought community input into the proposed redevelopment of the carpark at the Beachport Boat Ramp. In response, Council received a number of submissions and a petition from local residents.
Wattle Range Council Mayor, Peter Gandolfi said “The community response to the carpark design has allowed Council to take on the views of local people.”
“A number of changes have been made to the original design, to find a balance between the minimum standards required for parking and the community’s requests” he added.
Residents and visitors are invited to make comment on the revised design for the carpark at the Beachport Boat Ramp.
The plans include a viewing area for cars, 34 trailer spaces, a turning area and an overflow area with approximately 24 additional parking spaces.
The revised design is available for viewing at the Beachport Visitor Information Centre and Millicent Civic Centre, as well as on Council’s website: www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au.
Written submissions should be addressed to the CEO, Mr Peter Harriott and should be submitted before the close on business on Thursday 30 July 2015.
