The Wattle Range Council is currently seeking feedback from the community of Millicent regarding the future format of its pre‐Christmas street party.
A key date on the community calendar, Millicent’s street party is an exciting tradition for the town’s children and adults alike.
Historically the iconic event had been organised by a small sub‐committee of the Millicent Business Community Association, however following a recent shift in focus by the group, the
most recent festivities were co‐ordinated by the Wattle Range Council.
2015 will again see Council take on this role, and they are currently seeking advice and assistance from the public at this early stage in preparations.
An online survey has been developed to assist in evaluating the most appropriate date and format for the event. A joint initiative by the Council and the Millicent Business Community
Association, it is hoped this survey will ensure that this year’s event will be a success.
Two years ago the event was held several days before Christmas instead of Christmas Eve. It was a successful event but it resulted in mixed responses; some wanting it moved back to Christmas Eve and others happy to see it moved to an earlier date. Last year it was held on Christmas Eve.
Residents are encouraged to have their say by completing the survey, available online at http://www.wattlerange.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?c=44798
