Wattle Range Council Financial Assistance Grants allocated

A total of $27,216-00 was granted to Wattle Range Council region community groups in Round 1 2015/16 Council Grants at the September council meeting on Tuesday 8th 2015.
Community Financial Assistance Grant
The council received 8 applications of which 6 were successful with a total of $11,500-00 being approved.
Nangwarry Museum and Community Hall received $2,000.00 to extend Doctor’s surgery room to include nurses room with toilet.
The South East Junction, Mental Health Activity and Resource Centre inc received $2,000 to buy materials for workshops and conduct activities within Millicent and Penola as part of their support groups .
5THE FM received $2,000 to supply and install solar panels to the 5THE FM building.
McArthur Park Kindergarten received $2,000 construct an outdoor mud kitchen at the kinder garden.
St Anthony’s Catholic Primary school received $2,000 construct a walking track, seating and plantation in Geltwood Grove reserve area.
Millicent and District Community Club received $1,500 to clean and paint the exterior of the Community Club building .

Community Sport and Recreation Grants Program
Council received 11 applications with one applicant withdrawing; 10 organisations received a total of $15,716-00.
Greenrise Lake Advisory Committee $2,000 to continue on with the Greenrise Lake arboretum project.
Penola Cricket Club $2,000 to top dress McCorquindale Park playing surface.
Penola Croquet Club inc $911 replacement of sporting equipment and 4 sets of croquet balls.
Beachport Bowling Club $1,180 implementation of new social bowling programs including the purchase of coloured bowl sets for the junior and social events .
Penola and District Community Rodeo Association inc $2,000 to conduct the Penola and District Community Rodeo 2016 .
Glencoe Tennis Club $1,400 refurbish the current tennis court fencing.
Penola Netball Club $2,000 to install year round shelter shed on the western side of court facilities and players rainwater tank.
Penola Golf Club $1,357 upgrade kitchen facilities in clubhouse.
Beachport Golf Club $2,000 improvements to access ramp -1st fairway.
Millicent Uniting Church/indoor bowls club $1,800 replacement of indoor playing mats
