The Wattle Range Road Safety Group extend an invitation to you and your friends & family to attend our Annual World Day of Remembrance Ceremony for Road Crash Victim’s on Sunday November 15th 2015 at 2.00pm. This will be held at the Memorial situated at Centennial Park, Millicent (next to Visitor Information Centre).
This year is the 20th Anniversary World Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims worldwide.
It is held annually on the 3rd Sunday of November, as a means to give recognition to victims of road crashes and the plight of their loved ones who must cope with the emotional and practical consequences of these events. It also acknowledges the work of all those involved in the aftermath of road crashes
Police, CFS, SES, Ambulance personnel, doctors, nurses, counselors and others who experience the trauma of road crashes as part of the working lives.
This year we will have speakers who have survived road trauma. We will hear of the impact it has had on their lives and will continue to have, now and in the future.
This is an opportunity to make this a community day of remembrance for all those who are affected by Road Crashes. Everyone will have the opportunity to light a candle and/or place a
flower in remembrance of loved ones and we hope that you will join with us for refreshments after the ceremony. If possible, please bring a chair.
Your presence would be very welcomed.
