Police ask for help in locating stolen four wheel drive

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate a distinctive vehicle stolen from Nora Creina in the State’s south east.

Between Monday 13 April and Saturday 18 April, a vehicle was stolen from a locked storage container on a block of land on Bog Lane at Nora Creina.

The stolen car is a silver 1983 Suzuki Sierra four wheel drive, registration UXM073.  The four wheel drive has a modified chequer plate roof, plastic rear window and a rifle rest on the roof.

Disqualified driver caught drink driving

SAPOL

A disqualified driver was caught drink driving at Millicent last night.

Police stopped the man on Stuckey Street, Millicent at about 8.30pm on Tuesday 21 April for a mobile driver screening test.  The driver recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.072 and checks revealed he is currently disqualified from driving.

The 29-year-old Millicent man was reported for driving while disqualified and issued an expiation notice for drink driving.  His vehicle was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in the Millicent Magistrates Court at a later date.

Theft of fuel at Thornlea
Millicent police are investigating the theft of fuel from a property at Piccaninny Lane at Thornlea.
Suspect(s) have entered a rural paddock just after 5.30am on Saturday morning and stolen about 140 litres of diesel.
Investigations are continuing and police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Man arrested for service station robbery – Bordertown
Police have arrested a man in relation to an aggravated robbery at a North Terrace service station in Bordertown on 30 April.
Millicent detectives and Bordertown patrols located the man in Bordertown yesterday, Thursday, 1 May at 2.20pm.
A 41-year-old man from Horsham, Victoria was arrested and charged with committing theft using force and a false name.
He was denied police bail and will appear in Mount Gambier Magistrates Court today.

Police appeal for person to re-contact them regarding an assault last month
Police are appealing for a person to contact them again after they provided information regarding an alleged assault last month.
Just before 2.30am on Friday 18 April, two men were found unconscious on Penola Road near a Mount Gambier nightclub.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment.
Information regarding the assault was received on the Crime Stoppers website on Sunday 20 April.
Police would like that person to contact them again by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 as soon as possible

Machinery batteries stolen – Compton
Police are investigating the theft of two machinery batteries from Compton, Mount Gambier.
Police attended the Cafpirco Road address at 8.10am on Sunday, 4 May in relation to the two batteries stolen from machinery on the premises.
